We found the inspiration for the series of diverse events entitled Feminist Dance Paths in the statement of Franco Berardi Bifo, who says that social solidarity is impossible between bodies that exist in fragmented space and time, in a digitalised and automated space. We wondered how we could make a connection between society and (our) dance work, and what of our knowledge from the studio and dance theory could be useful for society beyond the stage. Somatic practices, knowledge of the collective and groups, non-verbal communication, the affirmation of processual work, the sharing of resources, are all strategies that we would like to unfold and look at in more detail.
We perceive and offer the connection between dance work and society in a broad aspect of relations, between bodies, contexts and knowledge, and the attitude towards overlooked phenomena from history, with the aim of mapping existing feminist strategies as well as the possibility of building new ones.
